Alix Amar

Bio

Alix Amar, MEd, MSS, LCSW has been a psychotherapist in private practice for over 30 years, specializing in working with people who live with dissociation, including those with early childhood trauma and DID. Through her expressive arts practice, she offers Dissociative Creative Explorations—art-based groups such as Creative Journaling, Altered Books, Writing Workshops, and SoulCollage®.

An ordained interfaith minister since 2004, Alix has presented at national conferences including the Expressive Arts Summit in New York City, Pennsylvania Hospice Network, and Healing Together. She proudly serves on the board of An Infinite Mind (AIM), where she has been an active participant since its second conference. Many attendees know her affectionately as the “Labyrinth Lady.”

As a member of An Infinite Mind's (AIM) board, Alix is passionate about AIM’s mission and is dedicated to educating people living with dissociation, supporters, professionals, and the public about DID while creating safe, creative spaces for healing and exploration.
