Bio

Hello, I'm Frayde Yudkowsky, LSW, LMSW, CTP, and I am a wearer of many hats, both literally and figuratively.

I am a licensed therapist, Certified Trauma Professional, Founder, Director, Community Activist, Writer, Editor, Event Coordinator, Fashionista and...

I am also a Thriver with lived experience known as DID.

Since a very young age, I was drawn to helping others around me feel seen, heard, valued, and validated. My journey has taken me around the world all the way from the USA to Down Under and back to the USA.

I have worked in every level of mental health care; psychiatric hospitals, rehabs, PHP, IOP, OP, in-home counseling, alternative high schools, wilderness programs, and sober living homes. I have founded and directed several nonprofit organizations and been instrumental in the development of others.

I am grateful to have founded a private practice in NJ called THRIVE! Mental Health where I see children, adolescents, adults, and older adults from NJ, NY, and AZ. In addition to individual therapy, I facilitate various groups including DID/OSDD Support Group, Chronic Pain Support Group, Creative Expression Therapy Group, and Sand Tray Therapy Group.

I also work part time in a residential treatment center with teens and young adults with trauma and mental health concerns. There, I do individual and group therapies.

My greatest passion lies in supporting systems with dissociative identities. Together, we get to know who's who inside, what their needs and roles are and work towards internal communication and collaboration rooted in compassion.

I know that my lived experience is what lies behind my work and the empathy and attunement that it brings.
