Neerja Singh
Bio
Neerja Singh, PhD, LICSW, LADC, is a behavioral health leader, clinician, and educator with more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, state and county systems, and community advocacy. She currently serves as Area Manager for Children’s Mental Health at Hennepin County, where she leads system transformation efforts that integrate trauma-informed care, workforce well-being, and equity-centered policy.
A Bush Fellow (2023–2025), Dr. Singh has advanced the Mindful Communities model to rehumanize human services, ensuring that systems designed to help do not cause further harm. She has taught graduate courses in psychopathology, addiction, and immigrant/refugee social work at the University of St. Thomas and has presented nationally on leadership, ethics, and culturally responsive practice.
Deeply committed to advocacy, she serves on the NAMI-MN Board and chairs the NASW-MN Ethics Committee. Her work bridges clinical expertise, policy innovation, and community voice to create healing-centered systems of care.
