Zipa Leah Scheinberg, LCSW
Bio
Zipa Leah Scheinberg, LCSW, is a developmental trauma theorist and clinician and the creator of the Developmental Trauma, Decoded™ framework, which understands trauma as an interruption in the formation of core human capacities. Her work maps five core wounds — Belonging, Identity, Trust, Existential Meaning, and Shame — and the seven survival patterns that emerge as the mind and body organize around survival. She has practiced in New York for nearly two decades, working with complex trauma, incest and sexual abuse, dissociation, structural dissociation, high-control religious and family systems, attachment disturbances, and therapeutic impasse. Zipa Leah holds an MSW from Fordham University, where she graduated as valedictorian, and is a licensed clinical social worker in New York State. She is EMDRIA certified, an EMDR Consultant, and AEDP-trained, with specialized training in somatic and polyvagal approaches, structural dissociation, and trauma-informed yoga, and lectures widely on trauma and dissociation.
