Frances Kelley, Ph.D.
Bio
Frances is a licensed psychologist in Pittsburgh, PA, where she specializes in working with dissociative disorders. For more than 20 years, Frances taught psychology doctoral students at three different universities. In 2022, she retired as a professor of psychology. She continues to work part-time as an adjunct professor teaching counselling psychology master's students at Yorkville University in Canada.
Frances’ research has focused on attachment and the therapy relationship, primarily with marginalized populations. Currently, Frances and two colleagues with lived experience are investigating the relation between the therapy relationship and attachment to the therapist for clients with dissociative identities.
In her clinical practice, teaching, and research, Frances draws from her lived experience as someone with dissociative identities.
